Today I got the impulse to make a compilation of things related to Mars. I’ve wanted to do this for quite a while. It’s Tuesday, aka Mars day—the perfect day for my attempt. It didn’t take long to find different Mars-like things in my home. Sharp and cutting tools, anything hot and burning, as well as warming and spicy foods are all related to Mars.

As for spices, I chose garlic, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and mustard. In the morning, I went for a walk near my house to pick some nettles and thistles. Some of the nettles I used for making a herbal infusion. Mars related stones in my compilation are hematite, red jasper, and bloodstone. These stones also happen to be my favorites (especially the first two).

Spices related to Mars: garlic, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and mustard.

A fitting scent for Mars is tobacco, as Matthew from Ancient Astrology told me some weeks ago. I purchased a bottle of Nicotiana tabacum leaf oil from an online store in Germany not long ago. I’m using it in an aroma lamp. Another suitable scent, I think—one I love very much—would be wood tar.

I also have other essential oils that some relate to Mars. Thyme is one of those. Another scent I love! Some relate Thyme to Venus, some to Mars and Venus. It could be both, yes. This time, however, I felt Tobacco is the one to chose.

Of course, a compilation of things related to Mars must contain a sharp weapon. This I found in the kitchen—a Marttiini filleting knife I got many years ago from a dear friend of mine. A candle in the color related to Mars (red) cannot be missing either. The tarot card associated with Mars, the Tower, finds as well its place among all the other Mars related items.
