How do you train your intuition? Well, there are many ways to do that. One option is to broaden your knowledge of symbolism. There are relationships and correspondences between astrology, numerology, and the tarot. I have been investigating correspondences between numerology and astrology for some time now. The quest is still on, and I will continue my series soon.

What I do want to do now is to learn the symbolism of the tarot in depth. I have been using tarot cards in my personal life for some time, but I have never had any real training in it. So I consider myself a novice. About a year ago, I found Benebell Wen’s website. Lately, I got into the tarot section of her site and decided to buy her book Holistic Tarot. Benebell also offers a free independent online course, including video lectures and many useful PDF’s for download.

I already started the video lectures while I was waiting for the book to arrive. I like Benebell’s analytical approach to teaching tarot. And well, yes, although tarot gets associated very much with intuition, in its foundations, it is still a Mercury thing.

I also decided to buy a new deck. Luckily I found a comparison video of different Rider-Waite-Smith decks by Rachel from The Cackling Moon. After I watched the video, googled some of these decks, and read different reviews, I decided to get me the Radiant Rider-Waite deck. The deck arrived a couple of days ago.

Bright colors are normally not what I prefer. The deck’s artwork, however, is very clear. The details are easy to spot. This is very important. My other Rider-Waite deck is not that of good quality when it comes to coloring, which makes seeing details very difficult. The Radiant deck, I think, is a good deck for learning purposes. The only thing I do not like is the wide borders. I find myself easily getting distracted by borders, names, and numbers on the cards. Therefore, I’ve decided to trim the deck.
