A new calendar year has started. The message of a Tarot reading at the end of last year asking what to work on in 2024 didn’t surprise me. Louhi was the first card I drew, Birth of Iron the second, and Metsรคnpeitto the third. I’m pointed toward continuing what I’ve worked on so far.
Since the Capricorn VSP of 2022, I’ve felt a strong pull toward the roots, the Great Mother, of which I feel Louhi is one expression. Already back then, I knew, what I discovered would stick with me. Thinking of the importance of Saturn and everything connected to it in my chart, I can see why topics like time, liminality, and the cycle of creation and destruction present themselves to me repeatedly. Working with what Saturnian experiences have birthed is a challenge. Progress is slow and it’s easy to get distracted and seek smoother and less painful ways to exist. This path is rocky but walking it is necessary for the good seed those circumstances have planted to sprout and bear fruits.

Thanks for your comment! The oldest written documents about astrology are from the Old Babylonian period (2000-1600 BCE).
There are two books in English I recommend looking into.
